Inchindown Fuel Depot - Support Buildings
There are a few further surface structures at Inchindown. Looking along the access track:

This is the structure identified on the map as 'reservoir (covered)'. I'm
not entirely certain if it's anything to do with the fuel depot - it could
just be a reservoir for the farm. It's immediately in front of the main
portal however, so I'm inclined to think it may be a holding tank for oil-contaminated
seepage water.

This is the structure shown on the map as 'El Sub Sta'. Right next to a
pole with a transformer, unsuprisingly. Camouflage paint still somewhat
intact. My father seems to recall his father keeping bees around this substation!

Internally it's pretty much stripped:
(but updated Sept. 2003: look closely at the high-resolution version of
this image and you will see the meters are very modern LCD devices. The
piece of paper on the floor behind the door turned out to be a postcard
from Scottish & Southern. Dated April 2003, it said 'we've just fitted
new meters'!
So there IS still activity at this site.

This is the 'unknown' structure. Small brick building, one part lower than
the other, no internal features whatever, door at each end. Suggestions
on a postcard....
