St. Fillans Power Station - Access Tunnel

St. Fillans has a short, straight, free-slow tailrace tunnel. It discharges into Loch Earn immediately below the A85 road. A85 is in foreground of this shot, you can see the ripples in the loch from the tailrace:

Looked at from water level, it's a single tunnel with a central splitter wall, with the A85 carried over the outfall on a bridge:

The tailrace can also be accessed from inside the power station. At the front of the turbine floor as few steps lead down to a watertight door:

Opening the watertight door give a view right down the tailrace tunnel to the 'splitter' at the exit:
